Storage Capacity
The Pro Series 64 channel NVR is designed for professional use in mind. To appeal to IT Pros it has a 2U rack-mountable design for installation in a 33 inch deep rack-mount enclosure. With 8 Hot Swap SATA hard drive bays that support up to 10TB each, it supports up to 80TB of total video storage. It also features enterprise grade hard drive redundancy utilizing RAID 0/1/5/6/10 that can be set to safeguard against data loss by disk mirroring, and striping. Instead of using disk redundancy, the NVR can also record video in JBOD configuration to span data across different drives or have cameras write to assigned drive groups.
Video Backup
This Enterprise NVR helps safeguard against data loss by allowing remote backups via FTP. You can use the FTP service on a local or remote NAS as the target to record live backups to from the NVR. Once the video is recorded, it can be reviewed using our video player for the PC. For providing evidential video, short segments of video can be exported directly from the NVR to a USB flash drive. Security footage can also be downloaded to a PC or Mac using our client software while connected to the network video recorder over the internet or LAN.
Motion Detection
As is the case with all of our network video recorders, this IP camera camera recorder offers a variety of recording methods. Video from compatible cameras can be recorded based on video based motion detection events sensed by the camera, or based on video analytics (VCA) events sensed by the camera. VCA is an option in certain Pro Series cameras we sell, and is only available between Pro Series cameras and Pro Series NVRs. To ensure that your cameras will be able to send motion events to the NVR, please ensure they are listed in our Pro Series IP camera compatibility list.
In addition to video based detection, this recorder has inputs on the back for hardwired motion PIR sensors that can be used to configure the NVR to record when a physical motion sensor is tripped. It categorizes each type of motion event separately which enables the user to quickly skim through video playback to find relevant events based on triggering of video based motion, motion alarm sensor, or VCA. In either case, email alerts or push alerts to a smartphone can be configured when motion events are detected without any monthly charges.
Remote Viewing
All of our NVRs have a built-in web server that allow the user to remotely login, view, playback, and manage their security camera system. A variety of remote viewing methods are available. Included are FREE iOS and Android Apps to have your security camera system be accessible to you from anywhere in the world. For the PC or Mac, we include a Free Central Monitoring Software to manage one or multiple Pro Series recorders from the LAN or over the internet. To view a system from the internet, a broadband internet connection is required at the location of the camera system.
